Guide - How to re-install SAP Business One client and B1UP/iPayment

Sometimes re-installation of an SAP Client and add-on is needed and commonly requested by our support team. This is our recommended way of re-installing the software.

If you want to re-install the B1 Client only, follow these steps:

1. Uninstall SAP B1 client from "Change or remove a program" in Windows

2. Disable any antivirus/malware program on the machine while installing

3. Turn UAC off from the system during the installation. ( Guide )

4. Run the SAP installer in "Run as administrator mode"

5. Verify SAP is installed on C: drive (there have been some issues when SAP Client was not installed on default drive)

6. Restart the system after b1 client installation finishes

7. Start the B1 Client in "Run as an administrator" -mode

If you want to re-install both the B1 Client and B1UP/iPayment, follow these steps:

1. Close the B1 Client

2. Use the re-installation utility found in the b1up download package and remove the b1up line:

3. Remove folders:

32bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\BOY\
64bit: C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\BOY\

4. Uninstall SAP B1 client from "Change or remove a program" in Windows

5. Disable any antivirus/malware program on the machine while installing

6. Turn UAC off from the system during the installation. ( Guide )

7. Run the SAP installer in "Run as administrator mode"

8. Verify SAP is installed on C: drive (there have been some issues when SAP Client was not installed on default drive)

9. Restart the system after b1 client installation finishes

10. Start the B1 Client in "Run as an administrator" -mode

11. Install B1UP
