In SAP Business One 10, SAP introduced the Web Client. This FAQ explains the most common questions about the Web Client and how it relates to Boyum add-ons that run inside the normal SAP Business One Client.
General
Q: Do the Boyum add-ons support the new Web Client?
A: No, SAP's new Web Client is written in totally different technology and is therefore not able to run any of our add-on products (in fact, no SAP add-ons can be extended to the Web Client).
Q: Does this mean that if my customer uses the Web Client that they can't use your add-on products at all?
A: The Web Client is just another client for SAP Business One (similar to SAP Business One iPad App) and can run side-by-side with the regular desktop client, displaying the same data. So it is only those front-line workers running the Web Client that cannot use our products.
Q: When do you plan to support the Web Client?
A: It is unknown when and if SAP will release an SDK for the Web Client, so we do not yet know when this will be possible. We are working closely with SAP and once more information becomes available we will let you know.
Q: I saw that there are some new Extensibility Options in SBO10 FP2105. Is that what you were waiting for?
A: Well, yes and no: It is correct that in FP2105 SAP is delivering the first part of the extensibility model, but it is only something to do links to loosely-coupled apps or to make brand new tiles/screens. It can not yet manipulate the existing Web-client screens (what something like our B1UP add-on needs). This SAP say will come in the future but have not yet specified a release date nor any details what will be possible
Update: from B1UP 2022.04 we have tools that can enhance the B1 Web Client. See more here
Q: What about your products that are not related to the SAP Business One Desktop Client (Boyum Cloud and CRM for Outlook)?
A: Since these products are not dependent on the SAP Business One Desktop Client these will continue to work as before.

Add-on Specific Questions: B1 Usability Package
Q: B1 Usability Package supported SAP's Browser Access. How could you support that and not the new Web Client?
A: While both Browser Access and Web Client was web-based, behind the scenes the Browser Access a remote desktop-like technology that projected the normal B1 Client screens to the web so it can't be compared to the pure web technology of the Web Client.
Q: If a user uses the Web Client, what more specifically does not work?
A: Pretty much "everything" as we are not present with our code in the Web Client. But scenarios run by the B1UP Server Component will still pick up example Sales Orders created in the Web Client

Add-on Specific Questions: iPayment
Q: If a user uses the Web Client, what more specifically does not work?
A: Pretty much "everything" as we are not present with our code in the Web Client. But schedules run by the B1 iPayment Server Component will still pick up example Sales Orders created in the Web Client and Authorize them.
