Where is B1 Usability Package's Configurations stored and what should I think of when migrating to a new server?

All of B1 Usability Package's configurations are store within the SAP Business One database so a backup and restore is enough when moving to another server. Do however consider this in terms of the configured values you to external files you might have set up.

  • If you have any configurations that reference external files or save target files you might need to adjust these after the move. (Also remember SAPs own fields like attachment Path)
  • If you use Plugins (Legacy mode) these are store in a separate database called BOY-COMMON that also need to migrate

  • Path to icon image files might need to change
• Print and Deliver
  • Paths to Crystal Report Files in Report Definitions might need to change and the .rpt files need to be copied over
  • Report Action - Save Path's might need to be changed
  • Report Action - Email - Additional Attachment paths might need to change
  • Report Action - Print - Configured Printer might need to be changed
• B1 Dashboards
  • Scheduler Save to Disk Action paths might need changing
  • Custom Process Flow Editor custom image paths might need to change
• Letter Merge
  • Template file Paths might need to change
• Universal Functions
  • Crystal Report Paths might need to change
  • External Launcher Paths configured might need to change
  • Referenced Code DLL in UFFI and Dynamic Code might need to change
  • Work and Log Paths in UFFE and UFFI
  • Dashboard Save path might need to change

  • Need a re-run of its Wizard after install to re-connect to the databases
