Q: Do I need additional B1UP licenses if a user wants access Perfion data in SAP B1?
A: Yes, if a user needs access to the "Perfion" tab for viewing specific data on an item within SAP B1, a dedicated user license for B1UP is required.

If there still are problems please consult your SAP Partner on how to proceed or go to license.boyum-it.com/licensekey.
Q: Do I have to pay extra for activating new modules in B1UP?
A: No, When you have purchased B1UP, you have purchased access to all current and future modules within your B1UP Edition. There are additional modules in the B1 Productivity Package (B1PP) that you do need to pay additional for, but those are optional.
Q: My evaluation period expired. What can I do?
A: After evaluation, it is time to purchase the add-on through your SAP Partner. In rare cases, the evaluation period can be extended but in any case please contact your SAP Partner.
Q: What happens if decide not to pay future maintenance?
A: If your maintenance period runs out and you do not refresh it, you will not be able to run newer versions of B1UP, but you can keep running the existing version (Example: If you do not pay the 2021 maintenance you can max run B1UP 2020.x since that was the last release of 2020.)
Q: For example, I run B1UP version 2020.1 but the License Screen shows allowed version 2021.0.3... Do I need to upgrade?
A: No, The version shown in the License screen is the max allowed version you are able to run. You can run that and all versions with a lower version number and you are not forced to upgrade at any point.
Q: Do I need anything special in my SAP License in order to run B1UP?
A: No
Q: In the SAP License it is possible to select the B1 Usability Package. Do I need this?
A: No, this is not needed. See below
Q: You run on B1UP on the Add-on compatibility license. Is this not wrong when SAP has a different system?
A: It is correct that SAP has tried to introduce a new Add-on License system to replace the Compatibility License system, but SAP has never completed the work to the point where the system was ready for global SSP Add-ons that are sold through the resellers.
For that reason, almost all of the major add-ons around the world does still use the Compatibility License (Those who use the new system do not have any benefits in having it, only problems). Instead, they have, like us, created their own license system.
This is perfectly legal (SAP has now extended all Compatibility Licenses to the year 2099 and it is still an option to use the new license in the certification process).
Q: I get a message that I have exceeded the max number of allowed databases?
A: Please see this video on what that means and how to handle it: http://www.boyum-it.com/Link/MaxDatabases
