As of June 30, 2025, OANDA will retire its legacy exchange rate API infrastructure. Due to these changes, we have decided to discontinue support for OANDA exchange rates within B1UP permanently.
This change will affect any customers currently using the OANDA-based exchange rate integration module. After the deprecation date, the existing API connection will no longer return data, and automatic updates will cease to function.
Recommended Alternative: Open Exchange Rates (Free)
To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend switching to Open Exchange Rates, a widely used and reliable exchange rate provider. Their free plan offers:
- Hourly exchange rate updates
- JSON API access
- Support for over 170 currencies
- Easy setup with an API key
What You Need to Do
- Stop using OANDA before June 30, 2025
- Sign up at https://openexchangerates.org/signup
- Configure exchange rates to use the new API key and endpoint (see exchange rate documentation or contact support if needed).
