The MRP View Color Mode - distinguish between VAPS and MRP responsibilities

  • Updated

The MRP View helps you quickly identify which production orders are managed by the Visual Advanced Production Scheduler (VAPS) and which are handled by the MRP planning worksheet. This distinction is especially useful for understanding which orders are subject to manual scheduling interventions.

How to Apply the MRP View

You can activate the MRP View in three ways:

  • When creating a new simulation by selecting it as the Default View Color Type

  • On the "Production Simulations" page, select it under "Default View Color Type".

  • Within the visual schedule, navigate to Actions → View Color Mode → MRP View.

Note: MRP colors are applied to the entire production order line, not individual operations.

Example

The screenshot below shows the MRP View Color Mode applied in the planning board, using the default color settings:

  • Orange – Production orders managed by the VAPS

  • Blue – Production orders managed by MRP

The Dark Red – indcates that a manual override has been applied via the context menu, marking this order as an exception to the default planning responsibility
