The Wait Times View provides a clear overview of both critical and non-critical waiting times for operations at machines.
This view is particularly useful for identifying potential bottlenecks. It helps you spot where operations are delayed because they are waiting for other, higher-priority operations to be completed.
Applying the Wait Times View
You can activate the Wait Times View in three ways:
- When creating a new simulation by selecting it as the Default View Color Type
-
On the Production Simulations page, by selecting it under Default View Color Type
-
In the Visual Schedule, via Actions → View Color Mode → Wait Time
Important: In the Wait Times View, colors are applied to the entire production order line, not to individual operations.
Example
The screenshot below illustrates the default color settings:
-
Grey – No waiting times
-
Orange – Waiting times are present, but the production order is still scheduled to finish on time
-
Red – Waiting times occur and the production order is projected to be late
-
Customizing Colors
You can tailor the default colors used in the color mode to your preferences. These settings are available in the according section of the Color Setup.
