The Availability View Color Mode - material readiness at a glance

  • Updated

The Availability View Color Mode helps you identify which production orders have the required materials available at the planned start of their first operation. This view provides a quick, visual overview of material readiness across all orders.

It is especially useful for spotting material shortages or delays that could impact production scheduling.

Applying the Availability View Color Mode

You can activate the color mode in three ways:

  • When creating a new simulation by selecting it as the Default View Color Type

  • On the Production Simulations page, by selecting it under Default View Color Type

  • In the Visual Schedule, via Actions → View Color Mode → Availability View

Note: The availability color is applied to the entire production order (line), not to individual operations.

Example

The screenshot below shows the Availability View applied in the planning board, using the default color settings:

  • Green: Material is available

  • Red: Production is scheduled before required material is available

Customizing Colors

You can tailor the default colors used in the Availability View to your preferences. These settings are available in the according section of the Color Setup.
