The Production Order View Color Mode offers a clear visual distinction between production orders by applying color coding, helping you quickly identify and prioritize tasks on your schedule.
This feature is handy when managing both make-to-order and make-to-stock workflows. For example, when deadlines approach, make-to-stock orders—often more flexible—can be easily identified and rescheduled if needed, thanks to their distinct coloring.
Applying the Production Order View
You can enable this view in three ways:
- When creating a new simulation by selecting it as the Default View Color Type
-
On the Production Simulations page via Default View Color Type
-
Within the Visual Schedule under Actions → View Color Mode → Production Order View
Note: Colors apply to the entire production order line.
Customizing the Color Scheme
There are several ways to customize the View Color Mode:
- Personalize the default color scheme for production orders in the Production Order View to align with your workflow. This is managed in the "General" section of the Color Setup, as shown in the example below using the VAPS default color.
-
You can override the default color directly on the Production Order Card to highlight specific production orders, such as urgent jobs or those for key customers.
Example
The screenshot below displays a production schedule with the Production Order View enabled, using the following settings:
-
Default color: blue
-
Orders 101034 and 101036: red
