Can not add new ItemCode : Error 50227 Item NewItemCode: The pick type '' could not be found in system!

You are trying to add a new item master data but you get this message while trying to add the new Item Code:

It indicates you are:

1. using Produmex Item Pick types

   
   

2. Populating the Barcode field when adding

   
   

The work around is to first add the new ItemCode to the system without a barcode, then find the ItemCode again and update with the barcode subsequently.
