How to duplicate extension parameters: use different values of an extension parameter setting

Problem: Certain configurations are only at company level, only one configuration set up to solve the complex reality of the companies.

Solution: we can duplicate this set of parameters (extension parameters) and have an infinitive world of possibilities to adapt the software to the business scenarios.

How to:

STEP 1. Click on the “Duplicate” button on the upper right side of the Parameter Set.

Assign a Name to the new Parameters Set e.g. “Duplicate_Param” (we recommend not to include spaces or special characters)

Next, adecaute the new setting values to the new business scenario we want to cover whit this copy of the original parameter set. In my case I want to receive certain items

STEP 2. Assign the extension parameters copy to a new button within the corresponding flow.

"Allowing to exceed the ordered quantity " (setting activated-new parameters set) on reception and other ones must consider the Purchase Order Line quantity as the maximum quantity to receive (setting DEactivated-Original parameters)

STEP 2. Assign the extension parameters copy to a new button within the corresponding flow.

A new button will appear then in the mobile UI:

As a caution it is recommended to copy the original flow.

STEP 3. On the new button “MSG_BUTTON_RECEPTION_EXCEED” we can enjoy a different configuration than the original “Reception” where the setting “Allow to exceed order quantity” is set as True.
