This article provide information on different scenarios how the Best Before for Production Generator extension parameters behave.
SCENARIO 1
The best before date is predefined in the Production Order (or Production Manager function) and the suggested date can be changed during the production process. The changed BBD will not be saved on the production order document.
Item master Expiry Definitions

Note: batch number is generated based on the Batch Number Production Company extension parameter.
This best before date is coming from the Production Order.
The best before date can be set using the Production Manager.
You can change the best before date. Note the default is 10/30/2023 and we change it to 10/31/2023
RESULT:
Stock is produced, and the changed best before date is used, which is different what is specified in the Production order document.
SCENARIO 2
The best before date can be changed and the changed best before date is saved on the production order document.

SCENARIO 3
The best before date is generated based on the Expiry Date definitions in the Item master data and the best before date is changed during the production process.

BBD calculated from the Item Master as Generate on Every Receipt is ON
You have the option to change the generated BBD because of the parameters set in the BBD generator controller
