How to set DEBUG log level for Produmex WMS Tools

This note will describe the logging options and configurations for Produmex WMS. When reporting a support ticket, it is very common that BOYUM Support asks to configure the DEBUG for logging and provide the DEBUG log file. This note will help you how to set the log level correctly and find the generated log files.

The log level is set in the applications configuration file. More about the configuration files can be found here.

When referring to the file path for the different applications and tools it is assumed that the default installation path is used. This should be adjusted if you changed the default installation location.

The default log folder up to version 2023.04 is: C:\Produmex\Log
The default log folder from version 2023.06 is: %ProgramData%\Boyum IT\WMS

UPDATE:

From version 2023.06.00 all the log files to all of the components of WMS (i.e. Fat Client, Licence Server, SBO Notificational Listener, ScaleComm Service and the Add-On) are now saved into one common directory (%ProgramData%\Boyum IT\WMS) after the upgrade (users are notified before the database upgrade). The change applies to users who kept the original settings and only to the upgraded component(s).

IMPORTANT:
After you have set the log level to DEBUG and reproduced the error, and you have sent the DEBUG log to BYOUM Support please do not forget to change it back to the original value.

It is included in the installer media
