License issue with a customized terminal app using Beas windows

  • Updated

How to use customize a terminal app using a pop-up beas window (for ex. a macro window)

Details:

If you are using a customized app trying to open beas windows, it is not possible any more with new beas license system

Example:

You had created a customized app to print multiple documents from the beas terminal, by opening a  macro form to print multiple documents

System will show the error message shown below:

The custom printing app will not work because the  terminal licensing makes it impossible to call / use standard BEAS windows or macro selection.

You have then the following alternatives:

a) Create an app with BEAS script, which dynamically generates a BEAS window.
This window then calls Macros, which are defined on the beas screen created with the script.

b) Create your own app for each Macro call (Button in Terminal) and write a BEAS script
to perform the action (e.g. printout).

c) Create a button on existing terminal apps (like WO Goods Receipt etc..) and call single report and preview/ print the report
