SCENARIO

The German government decided to lower the VAT between 01. July – 31. December 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation. Therefore the ELSTER portal for the electronic VAT reports upload was changed and SAP needed to adjust the ELSTER Add On accordingly.

You cannot send a UVA (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung) through the ELSTER add-on to the tax authorities in Germany. After you select the option Send Data, an error occurs with the following message stating that the acceptance server has reported an error.
