FAQ: SAP License vs Boyum Add-ons (aka what SAP license is needed)

Q: I have a question about what SAP License my user needs in order to run one of your products. Why can't I find this at Help Center?
A: As SAP licensing is always an interpretation of the written word and varies from country to country, Boyum Solutions can not officially give advice on what SAP License is needed in a specific scenario, so for that reason, it is SAPs own recommendation that you ask your SAP Local Product Expert (LPE) on what license is needed. So for that reason, you will not find any such information on these pages.

Q: Does that mean you do not know what licenses your own products need?
A: No, we feel like we have a very good understanding of what is needed in various cases, but ultimately it will still only be an unofficial interpretation of the SAP License rules, hence them not being official. Only SAP can give you an official answer.

Q: I've contacted my SAP LPE, but he/she does not know your products well enough to answer the question. What to do?
A: We are always available to describe the technical setup and usage of SAP components to the LPE's so they can get the right information.
