Normally when matching a Business Partner in SAP with an email it happens by having
CRM will look at the sender's email address and check in your SAP Business One if this mail is a known Business Partner or Contact Person email.
This is however not the case for mails in the sent folder, as CRM here attempts to link to either the original Sender or the first recipient of the mail.
General there exists the following rules for emails in the Sent folder
- New emails: Email is linked to the first recipient of the mail
- Forwarded emails: Email is linked original sender of the mail
- Reply emails: Email is linked original sender of the mail
- Reply emails where the recipient was changed: Email is linked to the first recipient of the mail
Replying and forwarding to mails when CRM for Outlook is not running or using either the web client or app, Will change how the linking works as there will not be a link to the original mails Sender, so the link will be changed to the current sender which is your mail
