Onboarding to Produce and Inspect for Business Central – A checklist of the first steps

The purpose of this checklist is to support our partners during the onboarding process and to avoid known stumbling blocks to enable a smooth and fast deployment for the customers. The list is structured in a logical order and can therefore be used as an onboarding checklist for each customer implementation.

Boyum IT will always support the latest version of Business Central for the Cloud.

Check your readiness for Produce and Inspect

• Check the list of supported versions of operating systems, browsers, and devices.
• Check the performance recommendations for using Netronic Manufacturing.
• Make sure your primary keys (e.g. item or resource codes) don't contain "/" or "\" and "/" at the same time, and don't end in "\", """ or "$".
• Make sure you have the required licenses to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Before installing Produce and/or Inspect

• Netronic Manufacturing applications have a hidden, “system” user, i.e. an application that is used to communicate with the Business Central API. Register this application in Microsoft Entra. in order to enable it to send requests to the API.
• If possible, avoid synchronizing several Netronic Manufacturing applications and / or databases simultaneously.

How to install Netronic Manufacturing

• Installation step 1: Gather the required prerequisites
• Installation step 2: Set up your license to Netronic Manufacturing in the Boyum Portal
• Installation step 3: Enable communication with Business Central
• Installation step 4: Synchronize your Netronic Manufacturing database with that in Business Central
• Installation step 5: Start your Netronic Manufacturing applications for the first time
• Installation step 6: Assign licenses to users and operators

Daily work

• Avoid having many browser tabs open with the same application.
• If you feel data on your screen is not up-to-date, clear the browser cache.
