Dear All
We have discovered a bug in the latest SAP Business One 9.0 release (SBO9.0 PL09) that we feel it is necessary to warn you about.
FAQ:
Q: Is there something wrong with my B1 Usability Package?
A: No, this error is on SAP's end (There is a bug in the SAP SDK that prevent the add-on from function as normal). B1UP is not the only add-on affected by this (All add-ons are affected if they use certain features in the SDK)
Q: What is affected?
A: Bug to a bug on SAP's end, if you upgrade to SBO 9.0 then certain features (Most of configuration-windows) in B1 Usability Package will give you errors about missing a certain item and essentially making the windows nonfunctional. For that reason we can at current point not recommend upgrading to PL09
Q: I'm not yet on PL09. Should I be concerned?
A: No, this only affect PL09 of SAP Business One (MSSQL and HANA). All other patches does not have this issue.
Q: I already upgraded and have this issue. What to do?
A: At the time of this writing there is unfortunately no workaround to this issue. We are working with SAP Support and directly with SAP Labs in China on how to proceed. SAP have informed us that they are working on a hot-fix release for SAP 9.0 PL09 but we do not currently have a timeframe of its release yet.
So here and now if possible we recommend to downgrade back to SBO9.0 PL08HF1. We are also looking into possible workarounds should SAP not be able to react quickly enough to this issue but we still hope on a quick hot-fix release to deal with the issue.
Q: How can I get the latest update on this issue?
A: You can follow us on twitter for latest http://www.twitter.com/sap_b1up or this forum-post
Q: I have more questions. Who should I contact?
A: Send all questions to support@boyum-it.com
