- Add-on was already installed but users see the install-screen again
- Add-on fail during install/uninstall with an access denied error
How to Fix?
- Log in to the machine where the user is affected.
- Browse where the Business One application is installed (Example: C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One)
- Select the file AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo (If it exist)
- On the toolbar of the browser press the button 'Compatibility Files' to have visible the contents of the virtual folder
- Locate and delete the phantom files: (AddOnsInstall.sbo & AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo)
- Add-ons will be now available for the user affected
How to avoid issues in the future (Select one)
- Always remember to run user as Administrator first time when an add-on is installed/upgraded/removed
- Turn off User Access Control (Not recommended by Microsoft)
- Alter permissions to C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One to let everyone write this folder and sub-folder
