In Beas Desktop and Web interfaces it is possible to create an Intermediate report as Production time receipt.
In Beas you have 3 options to report time and quantities:
- Partial receipt
- Complete Time receipt
- Intermediate report
When is it recommended to choose the Intermediate time receipt?
Scenario #1: The Intermediate report is a useful receipt to book materials without stopping production. Think of a production company that requires its operators to book consumed materials after a certain quantity is reached, or every 2 hours without logging out of the order. This is different from the Partial receipt, as in that case part of the time and quantities are reported, and the work stops for the order. To continue, you need to log into the work order again.
Scenario #2: The company is producing a subassembly that needs to go to the next stage of production after it’s done. You could potentially create a work order for 10 units, and every time you finish a unit, it could be reported and added to stock, while having the timer reset for the next unit, without the need to log back in. This is very useful in mass production stations, like medical devices, partial electronic/mechanical assemblies, and serial-managed items.
How this works:
First make sure that the BEAS “Deactivate Intermediate report” configurational setting is unchecked:
Then, the current production receipt with time and quantity specifications is completed and automatically restarted, using the same user, without the necessity to log out and in again.
In the Web Terminal we have included a new radio box option in the WO Stop app. After selecting the work order to report intermediate time and quantities, you can fill in the duration and quantity-related fields, select the “intermediate” radio box, and select Save in the top right corner in the screen. By doing so, your document is created, there is no logout from the work order, and so you do not have to log in again to report further time and quantities.
For a detailed description of the configurational setting, please read our documentation.
