Resolve conflicts due to overloads or link constraints

The 'Recalculate Current Schedule' function refreshes and cleans up your schedule for improved accuracy

It goes without saying that planners want - and need - to work with a schedule free from obvious conflicts such as sequence clashes and overloads. However, due to the complex nature of Business Central data, production simulations, and the continual updates required as Business Central data changes, these conflicts cannot be entirely avoided.

To address this challenge, we introduced the 'Recalculate Current Schedule' function:

This function ensures that

  • The schedule is thoroughly "cleaned up," eliminating sequence conflicts and overloads.

  • No operation will be pushed to the left - the earliest start date for each operation is the start date as of the current simulation

This can be especially helpful after:

  • Updating the schedule with shopfloor data.

  • Modifying work or machine center capacity settings.
