Apply standard routing

The purpose of this tool is to facilitate the efficient transition of production orders from the standby resource to a specified machine center.

The function "Apply Standard Routing"is accessible via the bar's context menu:

By selecting this option, the operations of a production order are added to the schedule starting no earlier than the current work date, or later, if required by a linked predecessor, without modifying the existing schedule and using the standard machine centers defined in the Business Central routing.

Core principles behind the "Apply Standard Routing" function

• Changes the assigned machine center of the triggering operation and all successors (move from standby to a concrete machine center).
• Changes the timing (start date, hence: end date) of all successors.
• Adds this production order to the schedule with the lowest priority.
• Will not change the sequence on any machine.
• Will not violate the routing structure.
