The lifecycle is composed of three phases:
- General Availability
- Legacy Phase
- Retired Phase

How can I know about lifecycle phase changes?
Boyum Solutions announces changes in newsletters and Help Center articles. These public announcements should occur at least 3 months prior to the change.
What is General Availability?
Solutions in general availability are regularly developed, promoted, offered, sold, maintained and supported by Boyum Solutions. General availability is the main phase of a product’s lifecycle.
What partners and customers can expect from a solution in General Availability?
During this phase, new functionalities, enhancements, and innovations are included in the solution’s feature set, in alignment with its Product Vision and Roadmap.
Product Roadmaps are available for public consultation on our Roadmap page.
Partners and customers can collaborate, vote and suggest features or enhancements by joining our Product Community.
What is the Legacy Phase?
Solutions in legacy phase are no longer promoted, offered or enhanced by Boyum Solutions. Legacy phase is the slowdown of a product’s lifecycle.
Although not available for new installations, partners can still purchase additional licenses for existing installations through the Boyum Portal.
During the legacy phase, solutions are “on maintenance” which means they are regularly maintained and supported. Installations with maintenance fees or subscription contracts up-to-date have normal access to Boyum Support.
What partners and customers can expect from a solution in Legacy Phase?
Upcoming releases only cover bug fixing, documentation updates, and compatibility with SAP Business One.
For how long are solutions in Legacy Phase maintained and supported?
As the legacy phase is announced, a reference SAP Business One version is defined.
Boyum Solutions maintains and supports solutions in legacy phase for as long as the reference SAP Business One version is under Mainstream Maintenance.

What happens after the reference SAP Business One version is out of Mainstream Maintenance?
The corresponding solution enters its Retired Phase.
What is the Retired Phase?
Solutions in the retired phase are no longer promoted, offered, sold, developed, maintained or supported by Boyum Solutions. The retired phase is the end of a product’s lifecycle.
From this point, solutions are “out of maintenance”, which means that:
- Regular Support is no longer provided by Boyum Solutions. Only Premium Support (paid) is available.
- Maintenance fees are no longer charged.
- Subscription-based license contracts are terminated upon the expiration of its term.
