Crystal report windows forms viewer: "logon failed. Please try again"

When creating the electronic report "Zusammenfassende Meldung" (Financials > Financial Reports > Electronic Reports - Zusammenfassende Meldung), there is a pop-up to enter the database login in the preview window (Crystal Reports). After entering the correct password, the logon fails because you cannot enter the database. When proceeding without preview, the electronic file is not created. 

1. Check the current ODBC connections on the client. 

2. Type “ODBC” in the search area of Windows. 

3. Navigate to the “Drivers” tab. 

 At least 1 ​SQL Server Native Client ODBC Driver should appear in the list.
