When rescheduling operations, it is often necessary to move not only the selected operation but also its linked predecessor and/or successor operations to preserve the correct sequence and minimize float time.
To enable this behavior:
- Open the context menu by right-clicking the desired operation.
- Click the relevant option:
- “Move with Predecessor”
- “Move with Successor”
- Or both, depending on your requirement.
When these options are active, moving an operation will also adjust the position of its linked operations accordingly. This ensures that dependencies between operations are maintained.
Note:
If the related setting in the Setup dialog has been enabled, the VPS will even move linked operations across different production order lines, allowing for more comprehensive and dependency-respecting scheduling.
