Data filters

The VPS offers two types of filters, distinguished by the point at which they are applied:

Data filters

Data filters function like standard Dynamics 365 Business Central filters and are applied during data retrieval, either when the VPS is launched or when data is reloaded. They operate at the data interface level, ensuring that only the filtered data is transferred from Dynamics 365 Business Central to the VPS.

Data filters are already effective at the data interface to make sure that only filtered data is handed over from Dynamics 365 BC to the VPS.

Create and edit filters

First, open the corresponding dialog by clicking 'Choose Data Filter' in the 'Setup' dialog.
