Adding and managing operators

On the shop floor, operators are the inspectors who carry out the inspections using Inspect / Operator. To access Inspect / Operator, operators must be registered in the Inspect / Manager module and a license must be assigned to them. When an operator enters their card number to log into the terminal, and a license is available for the application, it is automatically assigned to the operator in the current database.

To add an operator to the system, click the + Add new button in the top right corner of the Inspect / Manager screen, and select Operator from the drop-down list. (Alternatively, you can hit Add operator on the operators list page.)

Enter the new operator’s name and card number, i.e. identifier to be used by the operator to log in to the Inspect / Operator application.

Once the data of the new operator are saved, the operator will show up in the list of operators. Select Operators from the menu on the left to display the list.

Press Add operator in the top right corner to create a new operator. Click the options (°°°) icon on the right side of the list to edit the details of the given operator or to delete them. You can also view or edit the details of operators (name and card number) by selecting their name in the list.

The operator detail page tab label and header show the first and last name only, the middle name is not displayed.
