An inspection plan is a template for creating consistent instructions for the tests to be performed on the shop floor. It can be used across different items and scenarios. The inspection plan specifies the tests to be performed on the sample taken, along with the target threshold to be achieved in order to call the sample approved.
An inspection plan is only relevant until an inspection order is created from it. You need to use inspection plans to generate inspection orders automatically.
Creating inspection plans
To create a new inspection plan, click the +Add new button in the top right corner of the Inspect / Manager screen, and select Inspection plan from the drop-down list. (Alternatively, you can hit Add inspection plan on the inspection plans list page.)
You will be prompted for a (descriptive) name for your plan.
Press Save and then View inspection plan to continue the specification.
Enter a description for your inspection plan, and then click Add test to start specifying the tests you wish to include in the plan. For details, see Adding test steps.
