The figure below illustrates how Boyum Solutions' software portfolio supports the product value chain. Members of the Netronic Manufacturing family, i.e. Build, Schedule, Produce and Inspect are shown in full color.
While Netronic Manufacturing is documented in this Help center, you may also learn more about our logistics and product information management solutions on the Produmex WMS and Perfion pages, respectively.
The position of Inspect in the product value chain is highlighted by an orange frame above. Inspect consists of two components, one designed for inspection managers, the other for shop floor operators. Accordingly, Inspect / Manager enables quality managers to plan, automate and delegate work to inspectors on the shop floor, whereas its counterpart, Inspect / Operator, offers a smart overview of upcoming work to inspectors (operators) working on the shop floor.
Inspect helps you perform quality checks at different points of your production process. If your ERP system is SAP Business One, it supports inspections before, during and after production alike. If your ERP system is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, it allows quality checks before and after production. These processes can be automated, using newly detected documents in your ERP system to trigger the creation of inspection orders.
Thus, Inspect / Manager can generate
- Goods receipt,
- In production, and
- Production receipt
inspection orders automatically.
As noted above, Inspect can handle In production inspection orders only if your ERP system is SAP Business One.
In order to perform inspections during production (i.e. to generate and process In production inspection orders), the Inspect modules communicate with their Netronic Manufacturing counterparts Produce / Manager and Produce / Operator.

1. Plan your inspection Build reusable testing plans for how inspections should be executed on the shop floor. |
|
2. Create inspection orders Based on your inspection plan, generate inspection orders automatically when business events are registered, such as when a delivery reaches the warehouse or a production order is completed. Create inspection orders manually when needed. |
|
3. Delegate work to shop floor Ensure inspectors (operators) have all the information they need to complete their work on the shop floor by deploying a clear job list and instructions for each test. Decide when the operator should execute the inspection order. |
|
4. Monitor and follow up Watch inspection results come in, or wait for a conclusion to be made. Block items that fail testing from being used in the next step of the supply chain. |
|
5. Analyze and improve Use your ERP system for reporting based on the quality data captured, to learn how to improve. |
