Summary

With our Q3 release we keep focusing on taking the quality of Produmex WMS to the next level, and we encourage our partners and customers to upgrade to this version as soon as possible.

Beas - WMS integration: version control items

The Beas - WMS integration keeps supporting the logistical needs of Beas Manufacturing with version control item support (I-version) during reception flows. The new feature supports items managed by bath number or serial number. During the flows the Mobile Client displays a new Select the version number screen and the system uses the version numbers specified in Beas Manufacturing.

The following flows and windows support the new feature:
    • Reception: No PO Flow
    • Reception: Order Flow
    • Reception: Container
    • Bulk Reception: No PO Flow
    • Bulk Reception: Order Flow
    • ASN Reception Flow (Mobile Client & Open ASN Lines window)
    • Goods Receipt PO window

When the system generates a Good Receipt PO document, you can see the version in Batch Number Transactions Report or Serial Number Transactions Report.

Regarding ASN Reception, the Interfacing Tool handles the BeasItemVersion column of ASN files. If the imported ASN file contains the item version, the system automatically selects the version number and automatically skips the Select the version number screen.

Supported Extra fields in Argentinian database

Produmex WMS supports the POI field and the Folio Number From / To fields if the SAP country database is set to Argentina.  On the Mobile Client a new Enter Folio Numbering screen has been added to the given flows and the POI field is mandatory to be filled in to create the necessary documents.

Usability Improvement Program

The Usability Improvement Program (UIP) have been created to give all Boyum IT customers the ability to contribute to the design and development of Boyum IT products. The system sends data to Boyum IT, more precisely, it sends feedback (generic and add-on specific information) and error while the end results are software improvements to meet the needs of our customers.

With product version 2021.09, Produmex WMS adds a new Usability Improvement Program tab to the Organizational Structure on company level. The tab contains two new settings:

  • Scheduled time to send data: the exact time of the day when information is sent
  • Send errors only: If the setting is enabled, only errors are sent to Boyum IT.

GS1 Symbology Identifiers

The symbology identifier is not encoded in the barcode, it is generated by the decoder and all scanning equipment has the ability to recognise the symbology that has been scanned. The symbology identifier is a three-character data string consisting of a flag character, code character, and a modifier character.

From product version 2021.09, Produmex WMS supports the following symbology identifiers:

Simple identifiers: All simple identifiers are supported.

Complex identifiers: ]C1, ]D2, ]Q3
