iPayment doesn’t process any of the credit card details, it’s all handled on the secure page hosted by the gateway and then stored in their PCI certified, secure system.
After that, iPayment receives a token representation, which can only be used along with the correct credential.
If we look away from sensitive data which is only handled by the gateway, all communications between iPayment and the gateway run on TLS 1.2 encrypted communication sockets for all gateways to ensure a secure connection – this is a legal requirement that payment gateways must adhere to, and anyone wishing to integrate to them must do so using this encryption standard.
