SAP bug in 9.3 PL04: Invalid valid value '*' in Enum 'BoGenderTypes', the valid values are 'F', 'M', 'E'

If you receive an error containing something similar to the following:

Invalid valid value '*' in Enum 'BoGenderTypes', the valid values are 'F', 'M', 'E' 

Then this is due to a bug in SAPs GDPR compliance system that can replace certain values with a '*'. SAP has confirmed this bug in 9.3 PL04 and that it should be fixed in 9.3 PL05 and later. The solution is to either update your SAP B1 installation or disable the GDPR '*' for sensitive data features in B1.
