Native Android application

Produmex Scan is now available as an apk client, that can be installed directly on an android Scanner.

All features of previous WindowsCE and RDP versions area available.

Customizations on the Android platform are not yet supported (version 19.4, planned to be released by the end of January, will include this ability).

Mobile phone and use of the device camera for scanning

Produmex Scan APK can also be installed on a normal Android phone device. This is meant for demonstration purposes and not for real-world operations as the phone camera scanning is very limited in nature.

This allows an easy test-and-try of Produmex Scan in almost any warehouse environment, for demos and presentations, and even for limited trials.

Limited ability to scan a barcode on any input field

This will allow to scan names, common data, and accelerate the normal day-to-day operation. At this moment the feature is only available when using a phone and selecting “Use Camera for Barcode”.

An eye icon appears next to any input field, clicking it will open the phone camera to scan.

We are releasing this feature as a test feature for help demonstrations of the product, depending on the need of our customers we will consider releasing this as part of the normal feature set.

New Features

Support for non-uniqueness of barcodes in SAP B1

SAP B1 allows multiple items to share the same barcode, that is now also supported in Produmex Scan.

When a barcode used by multiple items is scanned, Produmex Scan lists all the items that have that barcode, for the operator to select the intended one. The documents supporting this feature are:
