The VJS offers two kinds of filters, the difference between them lying in the time of application.
View filters are applied to data that has already been loaded into the VPS, in contrast to data filters, which function like Dynamics 365 BC filters and are applied when data is read, either during startup or when reloading.
As a result, the histograms display capacity utilization only for the activities currently visible after the view filter is applied.
To manage view filters, the Actions menu provides three relevant options:
- Choose View Filter
- Enable View Filter
- Disable View Filter
You can filter data by job, job task, resource group, and resource. The job task filter is particularly useful for users who want to focus on a specific section of large jobs.
Please note that applying this filter may result in a list of projects with no matching job tasks. In such cases, a message will inform the user that no job tasks could be loaded based on the selected filter criteria.
The short video below demonstrates how to proceed once the dialog is open.
