In the VPS, the Capacity View can display a capacity curve that visualizes available and exceeded capacities, with overloads clearly highlighted by a red box.
Capacity calculation by either second, day, week, or month
The capacity curve combines information about a resource’s allocation and availability. For example, if a task has a duration of 10 hours and the resource is available for 8 hours per day, the curve will indicate an overload, provided the calculation is done on a daily basis. However, planners often assess capacity on a weekly or even monthly scale. To accommodate this, the VPS allows you to choose the time unit for capacity calculation—by second, day, week, or month. The curve then aggregates the resource load accordingly, based on the selected period.
