Log in to the Boyum Portal and navigate to Application Management.
Create user groups
Click the User groups tab to specify typical user roles, i.e. access configurations. The Boyum Portal already contains predefined user groups, such as Administrator, Product manager, Sales manager, etc. You can change the access rights of these groups or create new groups based on your business needs.
Select the databases that a user group has access to and the permissions the users have in the group from the lists on the left.
When modifying database permissions, it can take up to one minute before the changes are available in Netronic Manufacturing.
Add your users
Click the Users tab to edit the data of existing Netronic Manufacturing users or to specify new users in the system. The list of existing users will be displayed.
Click the (Edit) icon beside a user’s name to edit the corresponding configuration. Click Create new in the top left corner of the user list to configure a new user. Both actions will take you to the user configuration screen.
The following fields are available during user setup:
- Active: Determines whether a user is active. Inactive users cannot be used, and do not count in the total license usage.
- Name: The user name that is displayed.
- Email: The e-mail address of the user. The e-mail address is used when logging in to Netronic Manufacturing.
- User group: Each user must belong to a user group. This determines the database access and the permissions of the users.
- ERP username and ERP password: To be used only if your ERP system is SAP Business One, not needed by Microsoft Business Central. The credentials used by the user when connecting to the SAP Business One Service Layer. If a user has access to several databases in SAP Business One, the password has to be the same to all of them.
- Send activation e-mail: If enabled, a welcome e-mail is sent to the user once their configuration has been saved. Make sure you do not send out the activation email before completing all the steps of setting up Netronic Manufacturing, SAP Business One and the connection between the two.
When modifying database permissions, it can take up to one minute before the changes are available in Netronic Manufacturing.
It is possible to create multiple users with the same e-mail address for different customers, for example for partner consultants. When a user is removed from the portal, and with this the last instance of that e-mail address is removed, then the user is also removed from Netronic Manufacturing.
Users can maintain their own password and, optionally set up two-factor authentication on the https://account.boyum-it.com page.
