Q: I can't find the configuration for this feature. Where is it?
A: All configuration happens via right-click on the screen you want to make the config for. There is no central configuration screen as such.
Q: Does Make Fields Read-Only work on UDFs?
A: Yes, From B1UP 5.1 and higher but only if they are placed on the main window.

You don't need any of our add-ons for this, you can use the standard Form Setting funtionality.

I have 5 users, I want to make req.del.date* as read-only for 2 users in ok/update/find mode.
