FAQ - Make Fields Read Only

Q: I can't find the configuration for this feature. Where is it?
A: All configuration happens via right-click on the screen you want to make the config for. There is no central configuration screen as such.

Q: Does Make Fields Read-Only work on UDFs?
A: Yes, From B1UP 5.1 and higher but only if they are placed on the main window.

    In a sales Order i want to make a column read only for some users.

    Hello Pradeep,

    You don't need any of our add-ons for this, you can use the standard Form Setting funtionality.

    Hello Yaremi Thanks for the reply, my mistake i have not explained the requirement properly.

    I have 5 users, I want to make req.del.date* as read-only for 2 users in ok/update/find mode.

    Can you share the required steps?

    We are using a 9.3 PL 11 Version.

     

    My requirement is I want to make the field editable at the time of addition of sales order but not editable at the time of update/ok for few users
