FAQ - Tab Wizard

Q: What type of Tabs can you create?
A: It is possible to create 2 types of Tabs:

1. A Regular Tab where you choose what items should be on
2. A SQL Report Tab, that instead of items shows a SQL Report

Q: Is there a way to increase the tab width?
A: No. unfortunately, the SDK does not allow you to control the width of the tabs.

Q: Is there a way to control the position of the Tab?
A: Partly; The tab will be part of the existing Tab-group, but where it is can be controlled in its configuration's "Left" value (0=All the way to the left)

Q: I've created a few tabs, but they seem to be "moving around" among the other tabs. What is wrong?
A: This is due to a known SAP Bug, that despite much effort SAP tells us they are unable to fix :-(

Q: Can I create a new tab on a screen that does not have any tabs at all?
A: No, We can only add tabs to screens with existing Tabs

Q: I'm on a screen that has existing tabs, but I do not see the "New Tab" right-click menu entry. Why is that?
A: Our right-click is only on the most common screens in SAP. You can still make new tabs by manually going to the Item Placement Tool configuration, and manually filling the configuration in under the Tabs button. If you think a certain window is a commonly used screen we should have our right-click there, then let us know.
