Beas 2026.09 — One Step Closer to a Complete Manufacturing Flow

Beas 2026.09 takes another significant step toward covering a complete Make-to-Stock manufacturing flow in the web experience.

With this release, more of the processes connecting customer orders, production planning, master data, production execution, costing, and delivery validation can be managed through modern web experiences.

The focus is not only on bringing individual Beas functions to the web, but on progressively connecting them into a more complete and consistent manufacturing journey.

A dedicated Beas experience for production users

The new Beas Standalone provides a dedicated entry point for production users to access Beas manufacturing functionality without having to enter the SAP Business One Web Client.

Users can configure their own home experience and access the manufacturing functions and information most relevant to their role.

Beas Standalone also introduces support for Views, providing a modern and flexible alternative for part of the functionality previously delivered through classic Beas templates.

Stronger Manufacturing Master Data

The web experience has been expanded to provide richer management of the master data behind production.

Users can manage Items and Work Orders more effectively, including viewing and modifying both BOMs and Routings directly from the web.

Key improvements include:

  • Enhanced Item and BOM/Routing management, including reordering.
  • Improved Work Order List with edit capabilities.
  • New Work Order creation and improved error handling.
  • Extended Work Order information and management.
  • Resource management with edit mode, resource groups, capacity information, and capacity graphics.

More complete Production Execution

The production execution experience continues to grow with improved Time Administration capabilities.

Users can edit existing time records, create new time receipts, manage cancelled time receipts, and perform additional time receipt tasks through quick input.

Material reservations can also be assigned directly to Work Orders, providing better control of material availability during production execution.

CTP directly from the Web

Beas CTP is now accessible from the web experience, allowing users to validate when an order can be delivered and understand its current status.

This brings production feasibility and delivery validation closer to the order process and improves visibility across the manufacturing flow.

Better Production Cost Visibility

Production cost information is now available through complementary web experiences.

From the Item master, a new production cost dashboard helps users understand the structure of an item's theoretical production cost and analyze how it evolves over time.

From the Work Order, users can access the cost calculations used when the manufactured product is received into inventory, providing greater transparency into the production cost calculation.

Expanded Administration and Configuration

New administrative capabilities provide greater flexibility and control over the web experience.

User authorizations can now be managed at both individual-user and group level, with permissions supporting:

  • Inherit from Group
  • Read
  • Full Control
  • No Access

Customer fields have also been extended beyond the predefined Beas UDFs, allowing customers to manage additional information according to their specific requirements.

AI-Ready Manufacturing with MCP

Beas 2026.09 also takes an important step toward AI-enabled manufacturing with the integration of a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server into BeasApi.

This allows external AI agents and applications to interact with manufacturing and SAP Business One data through a standard protocol, opening the door to new AI-driven experiences and integrations without requiring bespoke connections for every use case.

The MCP layer provides controlled access to Beas manufacturing data and operations while respecting the same user permissions applied in the Web Client, ensuring that AI access follows the customer's existing authorization model.

2026.09 — Connecting More of the Manufacturing Journey

With 2026.09, Beas continues to move closer to a complete web-based manufacturing flow:

Master Data → Planning → Production → Time Recording → Costing

The journey is not yet complete, but each release is progressively bringing more of the Beas manufacturing process into a connected, modern web experience.
