This page provides information and the installation files for the Dynamics NAV, Add-in & Release2ERP integration modules.

Breaking changes in Perfion 5.5.4 & 5.6.0

Due to DLL assembly dependency upgrade to the Perfion NAV RTC DLL files, using the Add-in requires a change in the Dynamics NAV installation.

Follow the instruction below to complete the change.

 

Supported versions

Perfion follows Microsoft's official deprecation plan and therefore reserves the right to only support the following Dynamics NAV versions: 2016, 2017, 2018

Breaking changes & workaround

The Client NAV RTC module has to be upgraded for all users using the Perfion ERP AddIn for NAV

Perfion 5.5.4 breaking change workaround

When upgrading Perfion to version 5.5.4 or later the following change has to be made in the Dynamics NAV installation in order to use the latest RTC DLL files:

  1. Go to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV installation path e.g.: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\110\RoleTailored Client
  2. Open the file named Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe.config on the path and insert the following assembly dependency:
    1.             <dependentAssembly>
				<assemblyIdentity name="Serilog" publicKeyToken="24C2F752A8E58A10" culture="neutral"/>
				<bindingRedirect oldVersion="0.0.0.0-4.1.0.0" newVersion="4.1.0.0"/>
			</dependentAssembly>
  3. Save the file Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe.config and restart the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server Windows Service.

Perfion 5.6.0 breaking change workaround

When upgrading Perfion to version 5.6.0 or later the following change has to be made in the Dynamics NAV installation in order to use the latest RTC DLL files:

  1. Go to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV installation path e.g.: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\110\RoleTailored Client
  2. Open the file named Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe.config on the path and insert the following assembly dependency:
    1. 			<dependentAssembly>
				<assemblyIdentity name="System.Threading.Tasks.Extensions" publicKeyToken="cc7b13ffcd2ddd51" culture="neutral" />
				<bindingRedirect oldVersion="0.0.0.0-4.2.1.0" newVersion="4.2.1.0" />
			</dependentAssembly>
  3. Save the file Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe.config and restart the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server Windows Service.

Perfion 5.6.0 or later breaking change workaround

Every time Perfion is updated, and the DLL files are inserted into the Dynamics NAV Add-in folder, the NAV client can throw an error if the DLL file dependencies doesn't match the Perfion DLL files. 

In this case to find the correct version to paste into the Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe.config file, go to the Perfion windows client installation folder e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Perfion\Perfion for Dynamics\bin and edit the file Perfion.exe.config.

Once this file is opened search for the assembly dependency that is shown in the error message thrown from the NAV client and copy paste it into the NAV client config file shown from the above-mentioned examples.
