Select your preferred operating system:
Once the client is download follow the installation wizard.
2. Connecting to File Share
To gain access to your SaaS environment’s file share, a ticket must be created in Zendesk requesting access.
When submitting the request, please provide the full names of all users who need access to the file share.
Once the users have been created, the requester will receive the login credentials required to sign in to Azure Storage Explorer.
The users will be created with a temporary password. They will be prompted to set a strong, permanent password upon their first login attempt.
3. Using the File Share
After connecting to the environment’s file share you will have access to all the files that others have shared or generated by Perfion e.g. exports etc.
Browsing the files is simply done by clicking on your file share in the left-pane a file browser will then be visible in the middle-pane in Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer. Here you can double click individual files to view them, after clicking on a file it will start downloading once it has finished this process, it will be opened in the according application.
For uploading new files from local PC, simply drag and drop the file in the desired directory or select the upload function:
When new files are uploaded it will be accessible for all users that have access to the file share.
NOTE: All file share access keys are generated with following permissions; Read, List, Create, Write & Delete. Therefore, please advise your users to exercise caution when considering changes that could potentially lead to critical business disruptions.
4. Export & Import to File Share in Actions
In order to export files to the Azure File Share using Perfion Actions it is important that you find the UNC path of the Azure File Share:
The path is the root folder for the file share, if there are subfolders created they can be defined after the root folder.
In Perfion Actions the export path should be defined with the UNC path followed by sub-folder (if any) and then the file name including its format:
IMPORTANT: only the Perfion Application Server has access to the Azure File Share therefore the action must be executed through the Application Server:
After the application server has been enabled for actions navigate to Tools > Execute Actions > Action to be executed
Try the export action template action here:
