Setting up Multi Factor Authentication
In Administration/Settings on the tab “Login options” you find the information’s for the Multi Factor Authentication:

| Host | The URL for the SMTP host |
| Port | The port number for the SMTP hose |
| From Address | The from Email address (optional on some SMTP servers) |
| From name | The from name (optional) |
| Use SSL | Use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) in the SMTP server communication |
| User name | User name for login credentials (optional on some SMTP servers) |
| Password | Password for login credentials (optional on some SMTP servers) |
| Only use multi factor on web client login | Check this if the Multi Factor Authentication login only should be active for the web client |
NOTE: To use the Multi Factor Authentication at the Core client, the Application server must be installed and active.
Multi Factor sign in backup codes
To ensure the administration users always can access Perfion in case the Email server is unavailable, it is possible to generate five sign in backup codes. The backup codes are only visible until the setting window are closed, make sure you store the five backup codes a safe place outside Perfion.
Login
When the Multi Factor Authentication is enabled, the user will see the normal login screen. After the UserID and Password are validated the Sing in code window will be showed. The system will automatically send an Email to the Email address registered for the user with a Sign in code.
NOTE: The sign in code can only be used for the session that sent the code and cannot be reused to another login. It is only possible to request one sign in code at the time.
