Perfion’s notification system helps users stay informed about relevant changes, updates, or actions required, right within the application or by email. This article explains how to create and manage comments and notifications effectively.
Creating a Comment
Comments can easily be created for any clickable item in Perfion in two ways:
- Using the context menu by selecting the 'Comments' option
This opens a dialog where you can enter your comment and select a recipient.
-
In the Item Editor
Selecting recipients
Select the user(s) who should receive a notification about your comment by typing “@” and selecting them from the dropdown list. Tagged users will be alerted within Perfion and, if configured, via email.
Users will receive a notification within Perfion and via email, if configured.
Visual Alert: The Bell Icon
When a new or unread notification exists, the bell symbol in the top-right corner of the Perfion interface turns red. This serves as a visual alert, ensuring that important messages are not missed.
Accessing the Notifications
Clicking the bell symbol opens the Notifications window. Here you’ll find a list of all active notifications:
Each entry includes:
- The message
- Timestamp of the comment
- The author of the comment
- A clickable link that takes you directly to the relevant item or detail within Perfion:
This provides a quick and seamless way to respond to notifications.
Enabling Email Notifications
To receive notifications via email, you must first enable this option in your User Settings:
For more details on mail settings, please see this article.
Receiving Email Notifications
Once email notifications are enabled, you will receive an email whenever you are tagged in a notification.
The email includes:
- Information about the sender
- The notification text
-
A direct link to the Item Editor for that product
- Contextual information to help you take immediate action
This ensures you stay up to date even when not actively working in Perfion.
