The Color Setup - defining default colors

  • Updated

Set default colors centrally in the Color Setup page to easily apply consistent color schemes across the planning board.

Flexible Color Schemes in the VAPS Planning Board

The Visual Advanced Production Scheduler (VAPS) allows you to dynamically switch color schemes in the planning board, helping you focus on different aspects of your production plan at a glance. The following color modes are supported:

  • Item View

  • Machine/Work Center View

  • Production Order View

  • Production Order Status View

  • Progress View

  • Shopfloor Status View

  • Execution Status View

  • Availability View

  • Wait Times View

  • MRP View

  • Production Line Assignment View

  • Production Line Sequence View

All color schemes are based on default colors defined centrally on the Color Setup page. You can access this page via the NETRONIC VAPS menu or by searching for "Color Setup" in Business Central.

Color Setup – Centralized Configuration

You can define colors either by entering a hex code or by using the color picker (accessible via the three-dot menu in each line). These colors are exclusively applied to bars in the planning board, representing production order routing lines (operations).

General Color Settings

  • Default Item Color: Used for all bars in the Item View; override on individual Item Cards.

  • Default Machine/Work Center Color: Used in the Machine/Work Center View; override on Machine/Work Center cards.

  • Default Production Order Color: Used in the Production Order View; override on specific Production Orders.

  • Setup Time Color: Color for the initial rectangle on a bar indicating setup time.

Progress View

Defines colors based on scheduling adherence:

  • Missed: Operation ends after the fixed required due date.

  • Not Started: Operation should have started already but hasn't.

  • OK: Operation is on time.

The required due date is a VAPS-specific field, unaffected by Business Central rescheduling.

  • Resource Changed

  • Quantity Exceeded

  • Other Deviations
