FAQ - Default Data

Q: Some of the more common data can't be configured. Why is that?
A: In general the default data configuration only contains the data that SAP Business One can't make default as is. For example, the payment terms on a business partner cannot be set in the configuration since this option is already a part of SAP Business One.

Q: Some data regarding Tax/Vat groups are ignored by a US database. Why is that?
A: The US and Europe use two different tax systems. In Europe, there is a 3rd option (EU) in the tax type. Please do not set this as the default in a US database

Q: Default Data seems to always for its focus on the General Tab after applying its settings (I can't use a Macro to set another default tab).
A: This is a know limitation. After applying the different Default Data it is needed to press the General Tab at the end to ensure visual consistency. There is, unfortunately, no workaround for this.
