Select Serial Number when picking

Hi Boyum,

In the settings there is an option "Allow selecting batches from find stocks screen (Outgoing Processes). This function works fine but some of our customers use serial numbers and want the same option.

Can you make it possible to select serial numbers when picking?

  While selecting serial numbers from the Find Stocks screen is not available as a standard Scan feature today, the new dropdown object (or valid values screen as it has been officially named) for custom screens introduced in 2025.12 makes it possible to design a custom-assisted serial selection for very specific picking scenarios.

  Using this new dropdown field, a custom screen could present the available serial numbers for the selected item and bin/warehouse, allowing the user to choose the correct serial. An important advantage is that the dropdown values are displayed on a separate screen, which avoids space limitations on the mobile device and keeps the picking screen clean and usable.

  This approach can work well in controlled scenarios; however, one important aspect to consider is performance. If a bin or warehouse contains a very large number of serial numbers, loading and displaying them in a dropdown may impact responsiveness and should be carefully evaluated.
