Metadata Manager Export - option to exclude other Add-Ons
CompletadaThe Metadata Manager Export has an option 'Include Boyum metadata' which helps B1UP users focus on their own metadata. But this is only somewhat helpful if other Add-Ons are installed.
I'd like to suggest adding another checkbox, say 'Include metadata from other Add-Ons'. This would act like the existing control, but would control display of metadata from other vendors who have an SAP Namespace (i.e. Beas, AIS, CIS, etc.). This might be tricky since how would B1UP know all of the Namespace prefixes? Perhaps build user-editable a table with just one column for Namespace. Then exclude any metadata starting with values in the Namespace table when the new checkbox is checked. Another approach would be to look for installed Add-Ons, but that doesn't cover the case when an Add-On is subsequently un-installed.

Thank you for your request.
The development team have now added it to our internal planning-system for evaluation.

@Dave
Good idea :-)
Regarding how to know the namespaces there I think I have an idea for some clever string-math to be able to extract them from the names themselves.
What I'm do not have however is a demo database with add-ons metadata from various different add-ons. Would it be possible for you to share a demo-database that have something like above screenshot that I can implement the feature with?

@Rasmus, glad to help out. Please send me an email with the best way to upload the database - DGutman@AdvantageERPGroup.com

@Dave: Please follow these guidelines: https://support.boyum-it.com/hc/en-us/articles/226835967-How-to-send-databases-to-Boyum-Support
and then just send it to support@boyum-it.com mentioning it is in relation to this Feature request

@Rasmus: I just uploaded the database per your request.

@Dave: Thanks
Here is the new design of the filter... Will try/test it on you DB Copy so it is not just made up data... The logic is that if the first 2,3,4 or 5 chars are the same and there are over 3 instances of that letter combinations it is considered a Namespace... This is not 100% foolproof (specially the Partners that not use underscores after their as SAP Guidelines indicate) but worst case is a bit too much is seen as namespaces.

The development team has now completed this request. Expect it to be in the next release of the product. Thank you again for helping us make the product better :-)
