Cross docking locking settings
RespondidaIn order to use Cross Docking, the following setting must be unticked, however this affects all other flows where we want it ticked:

Would be nice if Cross Docking did not rely on this setting or had its own extension parameter setting for this.

Hi Peter,
I think you are not using Cross-docking flow correctly. You don't need that box checked for cross docking. This is only used when you want to create picklist when you don't have stock for your items at the time of cretaion.
Croos-docking can be done 2 ways. In boths cases, the sales order and the purchase order must be linked (procumenet wizard) and the "Auto reserve stock when purchase order is linked to sales order?" in the Purchase delivery generator must be checked.
The first way is the simplets and only involves stock allocation.

When receiving the linked PO with the regular Reception flow, the stock will be automatically allocated to that sales order and when your picklist is created, it will get the reserved stock.
The full cross-docking process is a little bit different. You need a few more settings. First, you need a Cross-docking Pick list type that should be assigned in the Purchase delivery generator.

You need a dock where you can pick. You must have a sales order linked to a PO and when you do your receiving you should use the cross-docking flow,
When the stock is received, WMS will create the goods receipt PO and the Sales delivery note for the linked sales order. If you have other items on the sales order that are already in stock and not on the PO, you will be prompted to continue the picking since a picklist would have beene automatically created for you and the cross-docking items(s) will already be picked.
